What is Solar Energy?

Solar energy is the conversion of rays from the sun into electrical energy using special technologies. Solar energy is the most abundant and cleanest energy in the world. It does not pollute the environment and is noiseless. It is a renewable and sustainable energy. Sunlight is converted either directly as thermal energy (heat) or through the use of photovoltaic cells in solar panels and clear photovoltaic glass.

Solar-electric or photovoltaic (PV) technology converts sunlight directly into electricity. PV can provide electricity for residential and commercial buildings, including power for security lights and air conditioning.
